The Arapeen Trail System offers over 600 miles of off-road trails winding through the Manti-La Sal National Forest. This massive network of trails provides everything from easy scenic rides to challenging technical sections, making it one of Utah’s premier riding destinations.

Mayfield Canyon Loop
- Distance: 45 miles
- Difficulty: Intermediate
- Highlights: Scenic views, water crossings, high alpine meadows
- Best For: Full-day adventure rides
12-Mile Canyon
- Distance: 28 miles
- Difficulty: Beginner to Intermediate
- Highlights: Creek crossings, aspen groves, panoramic vistas
- Best For: Half-day scenic rides
Skyline Drive
- Distance: 87 miles (can be sectioned)
- Difficulty: Advanced
- Highlights: Ridge riding at 10,000+ feet, technical sections
- Best For: Experienced riders seeking altitude challenges
Joe’s Valley Loop
- Distance: 52 miles
- Difficulty: Intermediate to Advanced
- Highlights: Technical climbs, reservoir views, remote backcountry
- Best For: Technical skill development

Trail Conditions
- Spring (May-June): Lower elevations dry out first, higher trails may have snow
- Summer (July-August): All trails accessible, afternoon thunderstorms common
- Fall (September-October): Ideal conditions, spectacular aspen colors
- Trail Surface: Mostly two-track with some single track sections
Safety Considerations
- Cell service is limited to non-existent
- Weather changes rapidly at high elevations
- Carry extra fuel - gas stations are sparse
